Eagles @ Bills - Its hard to envision a team with as much talent as the Eagles going 1-4. Eagles are 31st in the league in turnover differential (-6), while the Bills are tied for 3rd (+7). Neither defense has been very good, which also makes this a tough game to call. Prediction: Eagles 27, Bills 24.
Saints @ Panthers - Cam Newton has proven to be able to make plays in the NFL, but has yet to face a defense that can attack like Gregg Williams' Saints. Expect lots of exotic blitzes, which will force Newton into making mistakes. Prediction: Saints 31, Panthers 16.
Raiders @ Texans - The Texans will be playing without all-pro wideout Andre Johnson, but the league's leading rusher from last year (Arian Foster) seems to be healthy. The Raiders are 29th against the run (136 yards/game allowed), which will no doubt have Foster licking his chops. Prediction: Texans 30, Raiders 20.
Chiefs @ Colts - Though they lost both games with Curtis Painter at quarterback, the Colts have played a much more competitive brand of football, and there's hardly any shame in losing to a Super Bowl team (Steelers) and a 10-6 Buccanneers team. The Chiefs beat a disappointing Vikings team last week, and Matt Cassel has played better these past two games (35-53, 436 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT total). Prediction: Colts 20, Chiefs 17.
Bengals @ Jaguars - Big win for the Bengals last week against a 3-0 Bills team. They have solid young playmakers in WR AJ Green and TE Jermaine Gresham, who definitely help rookie QB Andy Dalton, and their defensive line does a good job of pressuring the QB (#1 in total defense). The Jaguars offense has bordered on anemic this season (9.8 points, 264.2 yards per game). Prediction: Bengals 24, Jaguars 10.
Cardinals @ Vikings - The honeymoon is over for Kevin Kolb, as the fanbase is already growing restless for results out of their new QB. Vikings fans know the feeling, as Donovan McNabb's play has not inspired any confidence either. Prediction: Vikings 20, Cardinals 16.
Seahawks @ Giants - The return of Sidney Rice has improved the play of Tarvaris Jackson, but their offense is still near the bottom of the league (14.5 points, 254 yards per game). The Giants will probably be without RB Brandon Jacobs, but the 'Hawks will have a hard time stopping Hakeem Nicks in the passing game, as well as blocking a relentless front seven. Prediction: Giants 24, Seahawks 13.
Titans @ Steelers - The Titans are one of this season's surprises at 3-1. Matt Hasselbeck seems to be in the middle of a career resurgence (104.7 QB rating, 8 touchdowns, 3 INT), and Chris Johnson seems to have found his groove after last week's game. The Steelers will likely be without RB Rashard Mendenhall, their offensive line is beat up (as is Ben Roethlisberger), and their once dominant defense has twice surrendered 100+ yards rushers. Upset of the Week!!!! Prediction: Titans 24, Steelers 17.
Buccanneers @ 49ers - Along with Tennessee, few could have predicted a 3-1 start for San Francisco. The Bucs are 3-1, but have not played up to their talent level. The battle to watch will be how the Niners offensive line can handle the impressive front four of the Bucs. If they can open holes for Frank Gore and Kendall Hunter, the 49ers will win. Prediction: 49ers 20, Bucs 13.
Chargers @ Broncos - San Diego has so far avoided a sub-par start to their season, but still needs to do a better job of protecting the ball (8 turnovers, -4 TO ratio). The Broncos have some talent on defense, but Kyle Orton may not be the Broncos quarterback for much longer, because if the Broncos fall out of contention, they'll likely turn to Tim Tebow to see what they have in the Heisman winner. Prediction: Chargers 27, Broncos 19.
Jets @ Patriots - The Jets can't stop from shooting themselves in the foot this year, and their once-vaunted running attack cannot seem to get back on track. Meanwhile, it seems like the only team that can truly stop the Patriots is offense is themselves, as they are 1st in passing yards and total yards, as well as tied for second in scoring. Prediction: Patriots 31, Jets 17.
Packers @ Falcons - The last time these teams met, Aaron Rodgers and Co. ran the Falcons out of the Georgia Dome in the NFC Divisional playoffs. The Falcons have added dynamic rookie WR Julio Jones, and will no doubt be looking to avenge that loss. Prediction: Packers 34, Falcons, 24.
Bears @ Lions - This past week the Lions joined the Bills as the only teams to come from 18+ points back at the half to win in back-to-back games. Calvin Johnson also became the first player in NFL history to have four consecutive games with 2 receiving touchdowns in each (would someone please tell Cris Carter this man is an elite WR, PLEASE). The Bears discovered their running game against the Panthers, as Matt Forte racked up 205 yards. Be scared for Bears QB Jay Cutler, as the Lions already impressive defensive line is getting stronger with the return of rookie defensive tackle Nick Fairley, who hasn't played since injuring his foot. Prediction: Lions 26, Bears 20.
Last Week: 10-6 (.625)
Season: 44-20 (.688)
